Fortecho Solutions Opens Abu Dhabi Office to Serve the Growing Cultural Landscape of the GCC and Wider Region

Fortecho Solutions Ltd is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Abu Dhabi — a significant milestone that establishes a permanent regional base from which the company will serve cultural institutions across the Gulf and the wider Middle East, from the United Arab Emirates to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Egypt and beyond.

Abu Dhabi has become one of the most exciting cultural destinations in the world, and it is a fitting home for Fortecho's regional presence. Saadiyat Island alone is home to a remarkable concentration of world-class institutions, and the pace of development shows no sign of slowing. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, which opened in 2017, has been joined in the past year by the newly opened Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and the Zayed National Museum, the national museum of the UAE, which opened its doors in December 2025. The much-anticipated Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, designed by Frank Gehry, is now in the final stages of construction and is expected to welcome its first visitors towards the end of 2026. Together these landmarks represent one of the most ambitious cultural investments anywhere in the world.

Yet Abu Dhabi is only the beginning. Across the region, governments are investing in culture at an unprecedented scale. In Saudi Arabia, Vision 2030 is driving a new generation of institutions and heritage projects, from AlUla and Diriyah to the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran and the Islamic Arts Biennale in Jeddah. In Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum of Qatar will in time be joined by the forthcoming Lusail Museum and Art Mill Museum. In Oman, institutions such as the Oman Across Ages Museum and the National Museum are enriching the Sultanate's cultural offer. And in Egypt, the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza — now fully open — has taken its place among the great museums of the world.

Fortecho has been protecting some of the region's most treasured objects for years. By establishing a permanent presence in Abu Dhabi, the company is putting boots on the ground: deepening its commitment to the UAE market while positioning itself to support the extraordinary wave of museum and cultural development taking shape right across the GCC and the wider Middle East. The office allows the team to respond faster, to work more closely with clients and partners, and to deliver the level of hands-on service that protecting priceless collections demands — from the earliest stages of a build right through to daily operation.

To that end, Bart Miller, Managing Director of Fortecho Solutions, is travelling extensively throughout the region, meeting curators, security teams, project directors and cultural authorities across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Egypt and beyond to understand their needs at first hand and to ensure Fortecho is there to support them at every stage.

"This is a hugely exciting time to be in the Gulf," said Bart Miller. "The scale and ambition of what is being created here — not only in Abu Dhabi but right across the region — is extraordinary, and it is a privilege to play a part in protecting these collections. What I enjoy most is the entrepreneurial spirit and the wonderful can-do attitude you find here. It makes everything possible, and it makes the work a genuine pleasure. Being on the ground, and on the road across the region, means we can be a true partner to institutions wherever they are — from the first line drawn on a plan, to the day the doors open, and long after."

Fortecho is proud to work with institutions including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum, the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, alongside leading museums and private collections around the world. With so many landmark projects underway across the region and more on the horizon, the opportunity for Fortecho has never been greater.

From its new home in Abu Dhabi, Fortecho looks forward to supporting the cultural ambitions of the entire region for many years to come.
