Keeping Up with Environmental Guidelines in Smart Museums

For many years, the International Council of Museums (ICOM) set out guidelines that museums were required to follow. A room should have a 50% humidity level and a temperature of 20° Celsius (68°F).
The ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) now advocates a move away from these traditionally recommended parameters. Instead, there should be a temperature range based on the specific exhibits. Fortecho allows you to monitor this locally and ensure any environmental change is not drastic and damaging.
