Our tags have an extremely long and industry leading battery life of up to 15 years, depending on type and setting.

Our system is modular and easily scalable. There is no practical limit to the amount of assets that can be registered and protected by the Fortecho™ software.

Yes. When a tag is within 6 months of dying, a low battery alert is raised on the system. If a tag is not seen by the system, a ‘missing tag’ alarm is raised. A battery status report on all registered tags can be run at the touch of a button.

An independent watchdog unit, or software interface can be used for increased security. The watchdog unit can trigger an Alarm on a supporting Security System.

Yes. We can configure your system to send detailed alerts by email, by SMS, through an integrated security management / intruder detection system and to pager receivers. Gallery sounders can also alert the general public and security staff to any security breaches. It is also possible to monitor the system remotely from any PC running the Fortecho software.

No. All our tags and tag attachment methods have been developed in close collaboration with some of the worldwide leading public institutions. Our curator approved ‘VHB’ adhesives stick firm, but come away clean. Tamper wallets are used on paintings to minimise handling and potential damage. For more fragile works, museum wax, stitched pockets and various other attachment methods may be used. Each artwork should be considered on a case by case basis; we advise consulting with conservators if in doubt.

Our system runs off a UPS battery backup, allowing it to run even in the event of a local power-failure for at least 20 hours.

Yes. Fortecho™ has been written using modern programming tools allowing for easy import and export of data.

Yes. Fortecho™ has the capability to monitor and protect assets in multiple locations. Data entry is only required once. Clients may monitor systems in one country, while managing them from another.
